The 38th Annual Pride celebration in Atlanta has moved its date and time from the last week in June to the Fourth of July weekend--which means an extra day to party. While we are all a little sad at the change of venue from Piedmont Park to the Civic Center, we are looking forward to the large outdoor space and the indoor facilities.
Curve is also excited for another day to enjoy the Pride festivities, kicking off the celebration on Thursday night, continuing through the weekend and culminating with the Peach Party on Saturday. Three days and three nights of Pride! We’re also working on Women’s Host Hotel, where girls can stay and play, and several other official women’s Pride weekend events with Pandora, so check back often at curvemag.com for updates.
The new date also ties in with Atlanta Pride’s election year theme, “Your Vote. Your Rights. Your Future," as the Fourth of July is a time when everyone reflects on freedom. Why not celebrate Independence Day and Pride at the same time in Atlanta?
Fourth of July weekend is coming up sooner than you think, so start booking those plane tickets to join Curve this year in Atlanta and show your Pride.
